I believe that every progressive society is fueled by the power of
informed and engaged people.
It is important to understand the world.
It is important to believe that you can change the world.
It is important to get involved.
My pursuit of a better world began on another continent,
under an oppressive political regime. Corruption was rampant,
political tyranny was blatant - yet people felt unable and impotent
to make a change. So I set out to search for freedom - the freedom
to be all I could be; the freedom to choose how I wanted to live;
the freedom to let my children choose their own destiny - instead of
following a prescribed path.
And here's what I have discovered.
In the golden age of technological innovation, the things that
most of us want - secure livelihood, a decent home, healthy food,
water and air, good education and healthcare - are still
unattainable. For most of us, almost everywhere around the world.
I believe that all people have the right to a healthy and sustainable future.
I also believe that each one of us carries a responsibility for the future; we can unlock the power
to change it - but only if we all work together.
Every one of my projects is founded on my firm belief that we, the
people, are the agents of change. Through the use of innovative
media, I seek to inspire people in a yearning for a deeper
understanding of the world; and to motivate them to take the future
in their hands.
